How We Utilize Your Donations
Building Maintenance
- Making sure all units have functioning appliances
- Make sure buildings are structurally sound
- All utilities are met ( electricity, water, heating, internet )
- Property insurance and taxes are paid for
Expansion of Our Housing
- Renovating existing buildings (upgrades, code compliance, accessibility)
- Building or acquiring new housing units
- Construction costs for expansion projects
- Furnishings (beds, furniture, appliances for new units)
Resident Support
- Food programs (pantries, community meals)
- Hygiene supplies (toiletries, laundry access)
- Emergency assistance
Current Campaigns
Stay Together Campaign
- Money will be used to renovate and extend Norman Mitchell manor
- Partnering with local agencies to support residents with case management and essential amenities
- Preserving historically Black neighborhoods in Seattle’s Central Distric
GDA’s 2nd Annual Day at the Ball Park
- Raising money for our Stay Together Campaign
- $10 of every ticket purchase goes towards this campaign
- Donated game and meal tickets will be distributed to participants in youth organizations, senior programs, and father programs.
